I’ve always loved beach weddings! I grew up in San Diego, California and forever thought I’d have a beach wedding. For some weird reason, when I planned my own wedding, I don’t know if it was due to timing, or convienece but I did not plan my dream beach wedding like I truly wanted. I...

Jontisha Graves - I met you at an Upward basketball event for my son and I am so totally inspired by these images. My husband and I will be renewing our vows for our 10yr anniversary somewhere tropical or beachy in April and I’m even more excited now that I have seen your pics (tear). Congratulations on the baby and God bless you and your family!

Douglasville Bridal Workshop – Wedding Photographer in Hiram | Wedding Photographer in Douglasville

A couple weeks ago I had the privilege to be part of a awesome bridal workshop hosted by the Douglasville Downtown Conference Center. They have such beautiful facilities for any event, but for weddings in particular, they have two beautiful ballrooms with plenty of room to house a large and small wedding reception and ceremony. ...

Through my child’s eyes

So, since I stopped blogging every day, I’ve felt so guilty! I feel like I already let myself down, but really I haven’t.. I didn’t really decide ahead of time how long I’d do the project, I didn’t really commit to 30 days or a year or whatever.. Though I think it would be really...

Katie - Oh friend he looks so sick. :( You can just feel the fever through the photo. I hope your kiddos are better soon!

January 27, 2011 - 8:37 pm

Anna - Poor little guy :( I just want to give him a great big hug and a kiss to make it go away. Hope he will be better for when his birthday is here. Love the picture and love you guys.

Denise Nicole - Blogging can be a full time job! I always sit down on a Sunday afternoon and blog for the entire week and post date them to hit each day. So it seems that I am posting daily but I only sat on my computer for a few hours. :) It helps tremendously! Oh the tooth fairy! Gotta love it! I think I forgot a few times and blamed it on the tooth fairy not having any money because my daughter lost a tooth twice in one week. Ha! Why must we sucumb to these fairy tales??!

Bobby Magee - How quickly we forget what it was like to be a kid. Love the post, it brings me back!

Through my child’s eyes | day 13

I have to be completely honest, i’m starting to really get tired and a little burnt out, and I don’t like that feeling. I guess its not the picture taking but just the pressure to blog about it every day. I think what I will start doing as of tomorrow, is start posting weekly. I’ll...

Anna - I don’t blame you one bit for only blogging weekly. I actually thought last week how you would be able to blog, have school and be a mommy. I look foward to veiwing your blog weekly and I love Avalyn’s boots. Tell her Nonina wants some shoes like that. Love you all.

Through my child’s eyes | Day 12

Tonight I feel like I really lagged in everything. I am just kind of mopey! Do you ever just sit around and not really feel motivated to do anything? I need to kick that to the curb, I have SO much I should be doing! So needless to say, tonight I barely got one image...

Anna - I know what you mean. It is a normal thing in life to feel not motivated sometimes. I love how you captured Logan in this picture and I am proud of him too. Don’t worry you are creative and will come up with ideas soon. Love ya :)

MIkah Wheeler - I would love to hear your little ones thoughts! They are so smart. I always had interesting thoughts about God when I was a child. I was sure His eyes were blue and that i could see them thru the stars at night when we drove home from church.

January 21, 2011 - 6:36 am

Judy - What if you took several pictures through the week, sometimes ordinary daily activities, sometimes special activities, then pick the ones you like most & have the kids either tell you or write or draw about what they were doing in the pics & how they felt or what they thought about? You can include that when you blog weekly & that will help bring back memories when they see it later in life & help you sorta get into their heads a little. You don’t necessarily have to document every day, cause that would probably be too much for anyone to digest over the years. But snippets here & there would probably be more meaningful. I can remember some really special moments with Jarrod & Grandma Wanda where she would be showing him a bug or a bird’s nest, or when she layed down with him reading a book. What about taking a few pics of the kids at the animal shelter, or planting a couple of seeds, or visiting the nursing home? Just a thought….
